CustomerTool is an easy to use, on-demand Web service that helps retailers affordably maximize customer value through the analysis of transactional data.

Our value proposition

CustomerTool is first to market with a Web-delivered set of analytic services for retailers. By delivering answers rather than selling software, we provide rapid results without the challenges and costs associated with implementing and learning complex analytical solutions. Any retailer that keeps its sales information in a database can export those data to our site and use our tools to gain a better understanding of their customers. For smaller retailers this may present the only economically viable means of gaining these insights. For larger retailers, these tools can serve as a first step toward building competency in retail analytics, validate internally-generated results, or supplement internal systems during peak periods.

How are we different?

Simplicity, speed and affordability are what make us different than traditional retail reporting systems. Today, most retail reporting systems can easily produce sales reports by product or by store over any time period. CustomerTool goes deeper, in order to provide information derived from transactions, such as “what do my customers like to buy together?” or “was my last promotion successful in generating additional gross profit?” Just as importantly, we realize that our clients want answers, not software implementations. By offering our solutions as an on-demand service, we can begin providing value immediately, often within minutes of establishing an account.

About the founders

CustomerTool's founders are experienced technology and business executives with advanced degrees from some of the world's most reputable academic institutions. Our founders have served in executive management positions at multi-mullion dollar retailers as well as successful Internet start-ups. The founders are familiar with the struggles that retailers face with respect to data analysis and have been involved in setting up analytical software and training analysts to understand the uses of different analytical methods.
